In Safe Hands

During an expedition in Dongchuan, we happened to encounter a festival. I took the opportunity to participate and see if I could find suitable subjects for portraiture.

The festival was very lively, with people coming and going. There was a stage where many performances were held. Besides the villagers, there were also parents with their children among the audience.

The atmosphere was like a carnival.

In the crowd, I spotted this little girl, and she noticed me too.

I smiled at her and made a gesture to show that I wanted to take her picture.

She seemed to hesitate for a moment. After all, there is always some anxiety when a stranger points a camera at you.

After a while, I noticed that she continued to look in my direction. I pointed at the camera again. She did not say anything. I think I may have received her permission.
